Assistant Estimator/Project Engineer

Need a basic job description here. The other jobs had one but this one didn't.

Create project folder and download bid files
Upload files into On Screen Takeoff
Send invite/ request to suppliers/ subs for pricing
Contact architect/ owner/ developer to get a list of all contractors bidding job
Perform takeoff with On Screen Software
Follow up with Contractors post bid for results on how our number compared to other concrete subs.
Assist in analyzing production data.

When we are awarded a new project Request:
shop drawings from suppliers for rebar, tilt-up panel engineering, Formwork Shops…
Mix Designs from concrete suppliers
Collect and submit product data sheets for products that will be used on job.
With input from others create/ draw panel layout
Panel detail drawings showing locations for embeds, reveal, and other necessary items
Review drawings for any inconsistency’s and submit RFI’s
Review shop drawings to make sure they are accurate
Assist in finding answers and information to superintendents questions.

Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team environment.
Must have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, ability to work under pressure.
Having used CAD software will be useful.
Being able to read and understand plans and construction documents.
Familiarity with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe.
Having used OnScreen Takeoff is a Plus.
